My main research interests are statistical pattern recognition, discriminant analysis, machine learning, and high-dimensional statistics. In particular, I have been working to improve Jerome Friedman‘s Regularized Discriminant Analysis (RDA) both in computation and accuracy. Also, I have been developing a classification tool in R that easily compares classifiers using different estimated conditional error rates.
